The Dylan Hotel Amsterdam – 1st May 2022
The Dylan Hotel is located on the Keizersgracht (Emperor's) canal in the heart of the 9-streets district of Amsterdam.
The site was the original location for one of the first theatres established in Amsterdam in 1617. This original stone building was destroyed by fire in 1772, leaving only the front doorway standing, which now serves as the main entrance gate to the hotel.
A bakery was established on the site in 1787 and this building was retained as part of the hotel when construction began in 1997.
The Dylan is one of the few historic buildings in Amsterdam to have both a front and rear courtyard.
